Are you the parent of a fun, inquisitive nature-lover? Looking for a unique and educational morning activity to do with your kids? Then join us for “Nature Explorers,” a weekly class featuring nature-themed stories, garden walks, hands-on activities, and fun projects, all designed for your curious preschooler and led by our amazing teachers. Light snacks provided.

For our third year of Nature Explorers (2017), we’ll be learning about seasons and weather, endangered animals, flight, plants, gardens, and ecosystems around the world.

  • Who: Children ages 2-5; parent participation required
  • What: Fun nature-inspired activities and garden exploration – Check out the full list of 2017 Themes and Class Topics
  • When: Six 6-week sessions on Tuesdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
  • Where: The Gardens at Heather Farm, 1540 Marchbanks Drive, Walnut Creek
  • Why: Exciting activities that will inspire a greater appreciation of nature
  • How: Each 6-week session costs $80 for members and $100 for non-members. Single-class drop-in fee is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Call ahead to check if drop-in space is available.

  • Max. Enrollment: 15 students per session
  • Siblings: Children under two years old may attend free of charge with their registered older sibling. Siblings age two and older are eligible for a 10% discount.
