Throughout the year, we host a variety of special fundraising events to encourage community involvement and support for our programs. Gather for fun times with family and friends to support The Gardens!
Plant Sales raise much needed revenue for our garden. Our online Plant Shop is open year-round, and in-person sales are held on the first Saturday mornings of the month between April and November (no sales in July and August). We sell hundreds of unique and beautiful annuals, perennials and seasonal edibles at affordable prices. Kale and leafy greens in fall/winter; tomatoes and melons in spring/summer. Salvias, succulents, daisies, hyacinths, and more! Specimens are hand-propagated in our on-site nursery facilities by our Garden Manager and his team. Members receive a 10% discount on purchases.
Teddy Bear Tea
Teddy Bear Tea has been an annual holiday tradition for families at The Gardens for over two decades. In early December each year, our venue is transformed into a winter holiday extravaganza with fancy tea service, seasonal decorations, tea-time sweets and savories, storytelling, crafts and teddy bears galore. It’s the perfect family outing to kick off the holiday season and it sells out every year! During the pandemic in 2020, we hosted a very successful “take-home” version of the event. In 2021, we’ll be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Teddy Bear Tea, and hope to have lots of special features to commemorate the milestone.
Gala Fundraisers have been a tradition at The Gardens for many years and have come in variety of forms and themes, including Wine & Roses, Fiesta de Jardin, and Fiesta Cinco de Mayo. Featuring food, beverages and entertainment, these fundraising events allow us to showcase our impressive garden spaces at the most beautiful times of year and help involve the entire community in what goes on here. Most importantly, sponsorship, ticket sales and raffles for these events make up a large amount of our annual funding needed to support the organization.
