Teddy Bear Tea
Don’t miss a unique and festive holiday experience! It’s a colorful, magical, wonderland tea party at the 27th Annual Teddy Bear Tea, where snowflakes and twinkle lights hover overhead, sugar plum fairies sparkle nearby, and bears of all shapes and sizes share in the joys of the season with you and your family. Hundreds of families flock to our door for this amazing event, and tickets sell out every year — often in less than a day!
Donate
Our Annual Giving campaign is a primary source of funding for our nonprofit, and donations from individuals go a long way to helping us meet our financial goals. Gifts both large and small provide support for garden maintenance, educational classes, and other community-based programs. If you love what we do, make a gift!
Membership
At the core of The Gardens’ community is a group of dedicated supporters — our Members — who truly care about our work. For an affordable annual contribution, Members receive discounts on classes and plants sales, discounts at local garden retailers, and other benefits. And Members help us keep our free public garden available for all to enjoy.
Volunteer
As a nonprofit organization, The Gardens at Heather Farm relies on the work of volunteers to help us meet our goals. Volunteers donate more than 6,000 hours of service each year and participate in all areas of our operation, including garden maintenance, youth education, office administration and special events.
Purchase an Engraved Brick
The purchase of an engraved brick is a unique opportunity to honor a loved one or commemorate a special occasion. Place in the pathways of the Cowden Rose Garden and surrounded by our beautiful blooms in all colors, the bricks provide a lasting memory for years to come.
Sponsorship
Become a sponsor for one of our fundraising events. Our annual fundraisers, including Teddy Bear Tea, are extremely popular public events with hundreds of attendees each year. Fundraising events offer corporate sponsors broad-based visibility while serving to support our gardens and programs.
Grants play a significant role in The Gardens’ future, providing essential essential funding to forge a path in pursuit of our mission. We welcome the opportunity to establish new partnerships with the corporate and foundation community.
Designating your gift to your favorite program ensures it will grow into the future. Designated gifts have helped us renovate garden displays, develop new educational programs for schools and youth, and purchase new books for the resource library. Upcoming special projects include tree pruning, path graveling and updating teaching materials.

We can honor donor preferences to use funds for specific purposes, such as maintenance or renovation of a particular garden area, informational signage, support for our children’s environmental education programs, sponsorship of new garden engagements, and more.

Giving appreciated stock, mutual funds or other securities can help you avoid capital gains taxes while providing important support to the Gardens.
Employee Giving & Matching Programs
Many companies work with nonprofit agencies, like the Blackbaud Giving Fund’s partner, YourCause, to manage their employee giving programs. If your employer sponsors a Matching Gift Program or participates in a company giving campaign, please designate The Gardens as the beneficiary. It’s a great way to make gifts multiply for bigger impact.
